The Dragon's Throat
Some individuals found themselves right at home in the Strange Aeon. Lyndon Dryfed had lived in a strange world, long before the rise of Dead Gods, or the invasion of sinister aliens. He had been an Occult Scholar since his youth, obsessed with the arcane and the odd. He made his wealth by feeding items into the Arcane Underground from Seattle to Portland. He kept out of the scrutinizing eye of the authorities by various philanthropic works to ensure the safety and security of the Arcologies in the Northwest – such works that possible saved Seattle during the Migou offensive there. He immediately moved to increase his wealth and influence during the rebuilding process, pressing certain legislation that would allow him even more freedom in his hidden Occult endeavors. However, just as soon as he had secured an empire, he disappeared. Several months passed while the Arcane King of the Northwest lay dormant and hidden in his mansion in the thick forests that had grown since the local human population had moved underground. The Eldritch Society ascertained that their own nemesis, the Chrysalis Corporation, had made an aggressive move to achieve a foothold in the rebuilding arcology. Even Dryfed new better than to step on the toes of the dummy corporation of Nyarlethotep, and his Children of Chaos.
